Vutha over at Vuthasurf passes on news that the government is reaching out for help with its efforts to reign in crooked employees.
Recently, Phnom Penh Municipality created emergency telephone line and letter box for receiving complaints and information from people and then find solution for them. There are four hot lines for serving public service including: 012 379 147, 023 430 727, 011 375 367 and 016 398 607.
On paper, of course, the idea is a terrific one. Time will tell whether it is a genuine plea by the government to help crack down on corruption or simply more government kabuki aimed at entertaining the masses.
