Barcamp is upon us

KhmerAk sends a friendly reminder that Barcamp is this weekend, Saturday September 20. Just don’t expect a bar — snacks and drinks, definitely, camp, maybe — but no bar, organizers say.

    eh, it’s not a real camping nor bar!
    but it’s a gathering of people who think technologies is part of their life and works.

    Meeting people, learning about what others are doing and getting feedback on what you are doing is essential.

    * It’s good to meet people outside your comfort zone; this is essential for business and for creating things that are used by others
    * It’s a good way to meet high-quality developers and engineers that you won’t find on Monster or Dice
    * It’s a good way to get help on a project you’re working on, and sometimes the help may just be the encouragement that other people need to see it as a great idea
    * It’s a good place to vet ideas or refine fuzzy concepts
    * Most important, there will be free stuffs to get

    For you: It’s about tech community; it’s open to everyone:

    * Computer enthusiasts, bloggers, web developers, Internet users, geeks, nerds, technologists, IT professionals, hackers, coders, engineers, programmers, designers, graphic artists, and people who think that technology can empower their personal life should attend BarCamp Phnom Penh.
