Fighting erupts on border

A gunfight broke out between Thai and Cambodian troops at a disputed border zone Wednesday, escalating a conflict that officials from both sides fear could result in a war between the neighbors.
Cambodian army commander Brig. Gen. Yim Pim said the fighting stopped about an hour after it began while commanders from both sides tried to negotiate a cease-fire. There were no casualties on the Cambodian side, he said.
Thai Foreign Ministry spokesman Tharit Charungvat said seven Thai paramilitary troops were wounded in the gunfight. Yim Pim said there were no casualties among Cambodian troops.
Each side said the other fired first.
CNN and The Bangkok Post both quote Thai sources saying one Cambodian soldier was killed. Reuters has an interesting Q&A that gives the background on the conflict in short, easy-to-understand, um, questions and answers, such as “1) If war broke out, would Thailand easily defeat Cambodia?”

Cambodian royal armies captured 10 Thai soldiers yesterday; those Thai soldiers are treated nice by the Cambodian royal armies.
Siem Reap means “Siam defeated” is a Khmer province; Khmers named it after Khmers crushed Siam aggressors like bugs under the Khmer feet when those Siam aggressors were robbing Khmer national pride Angkor Wat temple.
Today, Thai aggressors are robbing Khmer lands and Khmer temples at the border. Cambodia has no modern weapons, modern tanks, modern airplanes like Thailand, but Khmers have heart defending their country from Thai aggressors and Khmers will name another Khmer province as “Thai Reap” means Thai defeated soon if Thai aggressors will not stop their aggression towards Khmers who helped them from the Mongol killing 700 years ago. Khmer alphabet, Khmer vowels and Khmer numerals have been using by Thais as Thai official language today.

Thai govt committed crime against humanity just like the KR did, Thai soldiers killed thousand Khmer refugees in 1979-1980 at Dangrek Mountain and no one is taking Thai govt to the crime court yet.
Thai aggressors never recognized any international law; Thais are acting like Hitler as people can see Thai students celebrated the Nazi day in Thailand.

This conflict is not the end. It’s just a begining. Lady and gentlement, there will be a big fight, After the Thais and the cambodians reposition their guns. We can tell that both sides are bringing more men more guns. They(Thai and Khmer)pretend to play down what was happended on Wenesday.

Some people said that the Thai has the US F16 that would gain the upper hands. These people are totally wrong. The US F16s in Thai’s hand do not equip with special radars, do not have guided missiles, or smart bombs. Their capacities and what they can do are so limited. The US did not sell these technologies to Thailand because the US afraid that these technologies would get to some one such as China. China would mass produce the high end technologies, and sell them to all over the word.

TO ALL THAIS WORLD WIDE: The recent clash between Thai and Khmer troops around Preah Vihear temple inside Cambodia left three Khmer soldiers died and three injured THAT’S THE FACT. On the Thai side there were an unknown numbers of dead and an unknown numbers of injued. Some Khmer news sources said that there were up to 16 Thais soldiers dead and 47 soldiers injured but that’s not official. All we know was that alot of Thais were either dead or injured because we saw them in our own eyes. The question is why does Thai want to hide the number of dead and injured during the one hour clash with Khmers??? I think the well trained Thai soldiers with the most advance weapons is SO EMBARRASSED to tell the world that the Khmers with cheap and rusty guns actually beat them bad. Come on Thai tell the whole world WE WANT YO KNOW. Another embarrass thing was that on the day of a clash some Thai soldiers fled from the front-line to the nearby villages and 13 Thai soldiers dropped their weapon and surrenderd. Some of the injured Thais that we caught were actually cried and said they didn’t want to die. So basically Thais who stole land the Khmers are afraid to go to war with the Khmers. IF THAT SO JUST STAY HOME.
