  4. chamta Says:

Yeah, yeah. Everybody under “Non-Khmer bloghers” are all, um, not Khmer. But all are part of the Cambodian blogosphere, meaning writing from or about Cambodia.

  5. Rema Says:

I have a question about cost of living in Cambodia. A friend of ours wants to support an American missionary who is living in Cambodia now and the missionary is stating that he needs $8000 a month in order to support himself and his family (Private schools, etc). I am leery of his request and am trying to find first hand accounts of how much does it cost to live in Cambodia on average. Thank you.

    Rema ,

  14. Beth Kanter Says:

How many will be at the Cambodian Bloggers Summit? I will!

  15. assaji Says:

Do not support missionaries to cambodia. You’ll be appalled at the damage they are doing to cultures and families in this beautiful land. Cambodia has suffered enough.

  16. That’s cool. I found something new to read today.

  17. Don Says:

    For $8000 a month I’ll become a missionary

  20. Tony Jones Says:

Sihanoukville Online http://www.sihanoukvilleonline.com – I came, I saw, I didn’t really know what was going on.

  21. John Yeoman Says:

Pineapple at http://padevat.info/ is one of Kendals leading experts in all things Cambodian.

  22. Mike Aston Says:

That padevat site is weird, I mean who in their right mind would have fetish about those sort of guys?

  23. andy Says:

$8000 per month? What would Jesus say?

  24. Pineapple Says:

I wonder what is fetishistic about wanting to share a better understanding of Cold War politics in Southeast Asia than an identikit going “to find oneself” gapper. The effects are still being felt today, no matter how many undergraduates spend a few days in Siem Reap with their backpacks on. What “sort of guys” are you referring to exactly?

    • Mike Aston Says:

Hi Pineapple!Have you got what they say is a chip on your shoulder? What is it with all this stuff about undergraduates and back packers? The guys I am talking aboutwere a brutal regime that no one in their right mind would support. You seem to like pictures and images of them. Do you find them trendy or fashionable or something ?

  25. Pineapple Says:

Hi Mike, dude! Have you actually read the blog, or are you just a retard?

    • Mike Aston Says:

Pineapple, there is no need to be offensive.I have looked at the blog but its so boring that I couldn’t read all of it. I guess that might make me a retard but on the other hand it makes you boring.lol!

Anyway enough with the insults. Which parts of Cambodia have you visited? Which cities did you enjoy?

  26. Pineapple Says:

Okay then, forgive me for, well, thinking that because someone is making the judgment that I have a pro-Khmer Rouge “fetish,” based on admittedly, not bothering to read the blog through properly, seems a bit silly. Of course it is boring! If you’re interested, you’re interested! If not, then you won’t bother going there. It’s pretty much niche and as simple as that.

“Anyway enough with the insults. Which parts of Cambodia have you visited? Which cities did you enjoy?”

Is this the Cambodian/Cambodian interest blogger equivalent of the “which regiment were you in?” routine, to suss fakers?
